Roofing FAQs

Q: How does Willis Roofing deal with the various natural weather and climate hazards we face?

A: We use materials that stand up to four major natural hazards:

Earthquakes

  • Every Tile Securely Fastened (per Uniform Building Code)
  • Some Sheathing Systems Improve Shear Strength
  • Shifted Tiles Easily Pushed Back Or Replaced

Fires

  • Class A Fire Rated (the best level of fire resistance)
  • Recommended By The Committee For Fire-Safe Roofing
  • Tile Itself Resists Fire; Doesn't Require Costly Underlayments To Achieve Its Fire Rating

Winds

  • Weather-Check Design To Resist Winds
  • Each Tile Fastened Securely
  • Tested To Resist Winds Of Up To 80 MPH

Water and Ice

  • Unique Double Water Channels Designed To Carry The Water Off Of The Roof
  • Added Felting Provides Double Layers To Combat Weather
  • Used Successfully In Hawaii's Heavy Rains
  • Approved For Alaska's Harsh Winter Weather
